HSS recruits for remote, 1099 insurance sales opportunities across the United States and Canada. Here's what the opportunity involves, what's required of you, and how to apply.
The opportunities we recruit for are remote.
These are 1099 independent contractor opportunities.
Compensation is generally commission-based and varies by agency and role.
If that's not what you're looking for, better to know now than three steps in.
Insurance sales can be a great fit for the right person. We want you to understand how these opportunities are structured before you decide.
Every opportunity HSS recruits for requires an applicable insurance license. Most opportunities involve Life & Health licensing, although requirements vary by opportunity and location.
If you're hired without the required license, licensing becomes part of your path before you begin agency training.
Pre-licensing education is required in most U.S. states for unlicensed candidates. HSS uses and recommends XCEL for pre-licensing.
Candidates are responsible for their own licensing-related costs. Depending on where you're getting licensed, those may include pre-licensing, exam, fingerprinting or background-check, and license or application fees.
Candidates who already hold the appropriate active license may be able to skip some or all of the pre-licensing and exam steps.
You won't go through licensing alone. HSS or your agency's management team will help guide you through the process.
Four steps to get hired, then licensing if you need it. The full breakdown is on What to Expect.
Apply, meet with HSS, meet the agency, get hired.
Pre-licensing if you need it, your licensing exam, then your license.
Your agency takes the lead on training and onboarding.
